We wish you a #HyperChristmas and a #HyperNewYear

Hypercode Christmas logo 2021

Dear clients, partners and friends,

Another turbulent year is almost over, and it has often felt as though the pandemic’s repeat button was stuck. But the lessons we all learned about remote work and distributed teams last year helped us meet the continuing and new challenges of 2021, and prepare for those ahead.

We’ve loved working with you on so many exciting projects: corporate websites, product configurators, shops and interfaces, plus refactored and entirely new mobile apps. The kind of work that makes your digital portfolio shine and gets our developer hearts racing. Thank you for your trust, the productive collaboration and for making us part of your teams!

We look forward to continuing that work together next year and hope to see you in person again soon. Until then, we wish you and your team a wonderful festive season and a successful start to 2022. Above all, stay healthy!

Your Hypercode team

A Flexible New Website for Quiply, the #1 Employee App

The Quiply website on mobile

From channels and chats to surveys and an employee directory, Quiply helps people connect and share information at work. The app can be adapted to the needs of different industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, retail, hospitality and municipal businesses.

Quiply’s breadth of features was also the biggest challenge for the website’s UX/UI design and development. Each feature needed to be explained in a way that made sense to its audience. The requirements for the relaunch soon became clear: use interaction, video and audio to show what the app can do, and give editors flexible page-building tools to present the different use cases with variety.

Quiply had already supplied a new corporate identity, visual design and website design. We developed these across screen sizes, content elements and subpages, documented the page types and components in a module guide, and turned the visual component library into an interactive pattern library. This formed the basis of a Craft CMS setup that brings together flexible page layouts, reusable frontend components and HubSpot content. You’ll find more examples of flexible websites that combine a strong brand identity with demanding technical requirements in our Corporate Websites section.

A Modular, Dynamic Website for KMS TEAM

The KMS TEAM website on mobile

KMS TEAM’s concept and design called for a highly modular CMS, a dynamic frontend and strong performance. Their company pages needed the same freedom of expression as the case studies showcasing their clients and work. Markus Sauer, Digital Design Director at KMS TEAM, explains:

The site’s performance with such extensive content and its dynamic overall feel were particularly important to us. Precise implementation is essential to achieving that.

Working closely with KMS TEAM, we chose to build the editorial system on Craft CMS. It lets editors combine a wide range of configurable content elements, giving them the flexibility they need to create individual pages.

The frontend is a server-side rendered single-page application built with Vue.js and Nuxt.js, connected to the CMS via GraphQL. It also integrates video and recruitment services. Varied content, animations and interactions across different media invite visitors to explore KMS TEAM’s portfolio — something we enjoyed doing throughout development and afterwards. Markus Sauer:

We’re delighted to have a partner in Hypercode who immediately understood our conceptual, technical and design requirements and met them so well. We really enjoyed working together and exchanging ideas throughout the project.

Thank you, Markus — the feeling is mutual!

Celebrating 2 Years of Hypercode! 🎉

Hypercode’s second birthday

Our first planning meetings set out the goals and milestones for Hypercode. The very first, incidentally, took place at Geißbockheim, the home of 1. FC Köln. We then moved into a brand-new office in a great location, only to start working from home a few months later when the first wave of the pandemic hit. Fortunately, our workflows were already set up for remote collaboration, so we could make the switch fully. It took some getting used to, but the widespread adoption of video calls and collaborative software now lets us work closely with partners and clients from Hamburg to Vienna — without catching an early flight, as we sometimes used to.

Over the past two years, we’ve welcomed an exciting mix of partners and clients, from small businesses to established names. They turn to us for advice, planning and development of their digital products. Together, we build apps, web applications, websites, configurators and interfaces for e-mobility, energy, banking, insurance, culture and the public sector. More recently, we’ve also strengthened our work with young start-ups, offering favorable terms to help them turn their digital business models into reality.

We’ve already reached many of the goals we set at Geißbockheim more than two years ago. Others are still a work in progress. Doing this with a team that works so well together and a trusted, growing network of partners and freelancers is a real pleasure. Thank you for working with us over the past two years. Here’s to many more together! 🥳
