dimedis develops digital solutions for retail, trade fairs and events that connect people, content and interactions. Its event platforms digitize complex trade fair formats, bring visitors, exhibitors and organisers together, encourage interaction and provide relevant information in context, before, during and after each event.

These applications help people find their way, make connections and get more from an event. Used at major international trade fairs and specialist events alike, dimedis solutions provide a central digital point of contact for everyone taking part.

Hypercode has supported dimedis as a strategic design and technology partner for several years. Working closely with their team, we create mobile applications that turn demanding functional requirements, complex user flows and varied uses into a consistent, high-quality mobile experience.

Our work covers planning, design and development of hybrid mobile apps for iOS and Android, along with the web and backend applications that support them. We focus on scalability, reusable components and a clear design language that reflects the brand.

A modular mobile
ecosystem for trade fairs

Two applications form the core of our work in the dimedis ecosystem: the FairMate Event App and the LeadMate App. They work closely together to provide a comprehensive foundation for digital trade fair experiences.

The FairMate Event App is a flexible, high-performance white-label solution that can be adapted to different trade fairs and formats and extended over time. It helps visitors discover exhibitors, navigate the venue, find relevant events, plan appointments and make valuable connections. We created a distinct dimedis app design language that allows colors, features and content to be configured for each event while keeping the experience consistent and recognizable. It also makes room for new features as the apps evolve.

The LeadMate App uses the same technology and dimedis design language and can also run as a module within the FairMate App. It helps exhibitors and their teams capture, manage and qualify contacts during a trade fair, for example by quickly scanning tickets and business cards.

The FairMate App’s white-label branding for ProWein, boot Düsseldorf, CARAVAN SALON, MEDICA, EuroShop and REHACARE. Colors, imagery and interfaces change for each event while the structure, features and navigation remain consistent. Technologies

The FairMate Event App and LeadMate App use a hybrid approach for iOS and Android. This enables efficient development across both platforms while retaining access to native features. Where performance or deeper system access calls for it, we use native Swift or Kotlin integrations. These connect hardware features, operating system capabilities and performance-critical processes while preserving the user experience and stability.

Our work also includes the web and backend systems that support the mobile apps. A central configuration and content system supplies app releases with structured content and allows features and settings to be updated remotely, without deploying a new app version. We also built a cross-platform chat solution with its own backend, used in the mobile apps and as a web widget in the trade fair portal, with support for custom push notifications.

The modular architecture makes it straightforward to add new trade fair formats, features and integrations. It provides a scalable foundation for the continued development of the mobile event platforms used by dimedis and its clients.
